MEET OUR CREATIVE DIRECTOR, DEBI ABDELRAHMAN
Debi's story is one of adventure, from learning the ropes in Manhattan, New York to designing ball gowns for Sheikha's in Dubai. Her path has been a well-travelled one which has certainly contributed to her avant-garde design aesthetic. Conformity is not a recognised word in her vocabulary and she is at her happiest when modelling on the stand with some pure silk taffeta or, fashioning a new print, pleat or even fabric itself! As a child, Debi would usually be found tucked away with her singer, designing and stitching new clothes for herself or delving into the fabric markets and warehouses of Manchester. After winning the Dubai Fashion Week emerging talent competition in 2009 Debi started her own label of luxury evening wear, selling in Galleries Lafayette in the Dubai Mall amongst eight other stockists. Here she fine-tuned her knowledge of couture corsetry and body-sculpting techniques which she translates into her wedding dresses today. With a love for tailoring Debi then took up a post where she would see herself opening a 5000 sq/foot factory in addition to a creative design studio in the sought-after Dubai Design District, where, as GM she expanded her technical experience in tailored garment construction, inspiring our groomsmen offering here at Bodecca today.

We are here to support you with as many or as few decisions for your special day as you wish. Once you've had your initial consultation we can tailor-make a package to suit your specific needs. If you decide to have your wedding gown made by Bodecca Bridal this will include 3 stages of design development inclusive of a final framed illustration of your dress for you to keep. We also offer more extensive design & stitch packages which can assist you to visualise your day as a whole, inclusive of mood/visualisation boards and a full bridal party design development and construction service. In addition, we are able to offer a 3D animation service where once your gown (or entire bridal party) is designed, we can translate the dress onto a 3D avatar (which will look like you with your proportions) and even have you walking down a catwalk or backdrop of your choice. If the last five years have taught us anything it's to open our eyes and truly appreciate everything we have around us. Whether that's appreciating our freedom, family, friends or earth itself. As I move forward into a new chapter of my story with Bodecca Bridal I want to make a commitment, one which promises to do everything within my power to create a business which not only respects the earth but also gives back to it. I am only at the beginning of my sustainability journey but am fascinated by the developments that are already out there with regard to creating a circular fashion industry and products, materials and systems which positively impact people and the planet.
